Artistic Directors August Viverito and T L Kolman have announced the fourth offering of The Production Company's 2012 season: the Los Angeles premiere of Jamie Pachino's political fable THE RETURN TO MORALITY in a breathtaking staging by acclaimed director Mark L. Taylor and a brilliant production team including lighting design by Jeremy Pivnick and sound design by Lindsay Jones. This timely production will run August 3 through September 8, 2012 at The Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave., Hollywood, CA 90038.

A lightning-paced political satire about the unraveling of a well-meaning liberal, caught in the maelstrom of his own good intentions. Tracing the fast rise and even faster downfall of college professor Arthur Kellogg, the play follows the publication of his first book, a scathing satire of the religious right. When the novel "accidentally" gets published as non-fiction, it spins out of his control and is embraced as a manifesto by the far right and militia groups -- turning Arthur into the poster boy for all he once sought to fight. Before Arthur has a chance to fix the book's misrepresentation, he winds up interviewed by Sixty Minutes, abandoned by his wife, and ultimately blackmailed into giving the keynote speech at the Republican National Convention, live, with unanticipated results...

The cast includes an astounding array of talent in multiple roles including Jennifer Davis, Ace Gibson, Jim Hanna, Christy Keller, Catherine O'Connor, and Kevin Weisman, and the play is produced by Co-Artistic Directors T L Kolman and August Viverito for The Production Company. Assistant direction is by Jennifer Sorenson.
