The Orange County Great Park and Arts Orange County will present a new Arts Happening featuring the premier of a new one-woman play: The Dig. Written by and starring Los Angeles-based actress Stacie Chaiken, The Dig recounts the dramatic tale of a world-renowned American archeologist who uncovers the identity of a remarkable find in the Middle East that has the potential for explosive consequences. What is it? Come find out at the premier of The Dig on Saturday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Artists Studios at the Palm Court Arts Complex.

"We are proud to present The Dig in collaboration with Arts Orange County, the official non-profit Arts Council for the County of Orange," said Beth Krom, Chair, Orange County Great Park Corporation. "The Great Park's series of Arts Happenings provide opportunities for people to explore different art forms, interact directly with artists, and leave with memorable arts experiences."

At the premier of The Dig, visitors can engage in an audience question and answer session moderated by Richard Stein, Executive Director of Arts Orange County. Admission and parking is free. Seating is limited to 100 and will be filled on a first come, first seated basis.

Previous Arts Happenings at The Great Park have featured spoken word poetry, painting, experimental shadow theatre, dance, song-writing, mural making, physical theatre, and storytelling.
