Sugimation Productions is proud to announce the world premiere of Letters To Eve. Created by Daniel Sugimoto, the writer and composer of the critically acclaimed Broadway Noir and Project Mayhem, and Musical Director that brought you the incredible sounds of CAC Studios shows: ChicabRENT, A Night At The Sands, and the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Best In Cabaret Thenardier's Inn.

Letters To Eve is a 7-year labor of love for Sugimoto, he started writing this story for his grandmother, Midori Sugimoto, who grew up in an American Concentration Camp. Even through their incarceration these Japanese Americans continued on living, loving, and laughing, which is the soul of Letters To Eve. In America's current political situation there are flickers of history repeating, and it is important to hear the lessons of the past to make a better future. Watch the journey of these forgotten heroes in a two week run at The Miles Playhouse, 1130 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403. Performances run November 10th-20th: Thursday 10th, Friday 11th, & Saturday 12th @ 8PM, Sunday 13th @ 5PM, Thursday 17th, Friday 18th, & Saturday 19th @ 8PM, and Sunday 20th @ 5PM.

Letters To Eve ran a special one-day workshop at the Gardena Valley Japanese Culture Institute with song selections from the show along with oral history from survivors and family members of WWII. It has had an amazing reception by the community; a veteran of the 442nd (the all Japanese American Regiment) in his 90's was so moved, he stood up in the middle of the workshop and sang the 442nd fight song.

Letters To Eve is a classic story of love, friendship, family, and honor. This epic WWII musical follows a Japanese American family and their plight through forced incarceration, an African American jazz musician captured during Germany's occupation of France, and the powerful spirit of music and literature. This breathtaking new work will uncover the lost letters of history and paint a pure picture of a fascinating era. Discover the power as these characters decide to stand up for what's right, and create a legacy for the ages!
