The fourth annual edition of OC-centric: Orange County's New Play Festival introduces Southland audiences to four local playwrights emerging as powerful voices in Southland theatre, and a quartet of intriguing and satisfying plays from their imaginations - stories brought to life by actors and directors from across Southern California in collaboration with Chapman University theatre students. Join us in the Moulton Hall Studio Theatre for this destination new play event.

Full-Length Plays
Bender by Erica Bennett (Fullerton) - Aspiring singer/songwriter Ruby gets a golden ticket out of her small Alabama town, but will will the loves of her life and a tragic past hold her back? Directed by Travis Kendrick (Roxy Regional Theatre, Rising Sun Performance Company). Featuring Khail Duggan, Lynn Gallagher, Marlena Mack, Jessica Mason, Gerardo Villa-Lobos and Joshua Wright. Performances: 8/21 & 8/22 @ 8pm, 8/30 @ 2pm, 8/31 @ 7pm.

Gray People by Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm (Dana Point) - Trust and loyalties shift as James, Jenny and Adam tensely await a late-night delivery in the woods ... unsure what to believe about each other, and increasingly uncertain of their fate. Directed by Tamiko Washington (Chapman University, Actors Circle Ensemble). Featuring Ed Dyer, Drew Petriello and Laura Zenoni. Performances: 8/23 @ 8pm, 8/24 @ 2pm, 8/28 & 8/29 @ 8pm.

One-Act Plays
Saint or Sinner? by Lew Riley (Yorba Linda) - A young investment broker walks into a bar and finds himself in the company of two provocative women ... but the night is about to unfold in a whole different way than he anticipates. Directed by Phyllis Gitlin (Orange Coast College, Long Beach Playhouse). Featuring Kristina Anderson, Trent Brown, Eric Cota, Tuesday Grant, Lucas Gust, Allyson Hernandez, Joey Hirsh, Emily Jacobson and K.C. Pandell.

The Rothko by Nicholas Thurkettle (Huntington Beach) - When a museumgoer damages a treasured painting, a debate emerges: how sacrosanct is art, and how should it be enjoyed? Directed by Richard Stein (Laguna Playhouse, Arts Orange County). Featuring Heather Duncan, Joey Hirsh, Rick Kopps and Wade Williamson.
