Tickets for the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Opening Night Gala, The Philharmonic Dances, led by Music Director Gustavo Dudamel and marking the beginning of the orchestra's 2012/13 season, are now on sale.

The Gala, Thursday, September 27, at Walt Disney Concert Hall, opens with a pre-concert cocktail reception at 6 pm, followed by the 7 pm concert, with dinner and dancing to follow. The concert program includes selections from Tchaikovsky, Bernstein and LA Phil Creative Chair John Adams, in an evening honoring the rich tradition of dance rhythms. Very special guest dancers, presented in collaboration with the Music Center, are to be announced. 

All proceeds will support the LA Phil and its education programs, including YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles). Gala package tickets range in price from $2,500 to $15,000 and include a significant charitable contribution. Special benefits are extended to those who purchase two Gala package tickets by May 11.
