The award-winning Impro Theatre continues its 11th Anniversary Season with their 2nd annual Pledge Drive UnScripted benefit event, which includes a 30-hour non-stop improvised marathon, a crowdfunding campaign, and a silent auction. The event takes place in the intimate Impro Studio in the heart of Los Feliz Village from June 30 to July 1, 2017. Proceeds benefit the Impro Theatre School and Impro Studio.

Pledge Drive UnScripted is centered around 30 non-stop hours of improvised performances, which will take place in the Impro Studio and will be broadcast live on Facebook. Performances include the Impro Theatre Main Company's acclaimed Shakespeare UnScripted, Twilight Zone UnScripted and Dorothy Parker UnScripted alongside performances from the Impro Theatre School and members of the Impro community. All performances are Pay-What-You-Can, except for the showcase performance of the Main Company's The Monroe Family's Blast of Independence Variety Show, which has $50 VIP tickets.

The silent auction at Pledge Drive UnScripted will feature exclusive items including tickets to Disneyland, The Magic Castle, and live tapings of the TV shows "Real Time with Bill Maher" and "The Late Late Show with James Corden," The crowdfunding campaign on Generosity.com includes exclusive benefits like signed posters, VIP tickets, and one-of-a-kind experiences. Impro Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Impro Theatre has garnered national attention with their unique, acclaimed brand of theatre and sold-out shows. They create entirely improvised, full-length plays in various styles; every show is completely different, and each performance is seen only by the people in the theatre on that night. In Los Angeles, Impro Theatre recently performed 1966 Holiday Variety Extravaganza at The Broad Stage and L.A. Noir UnScripted at the 1200-seat Ford Amphitheatre, and they have performed locally at South Coast Repertory, The Falcon Theatre in Burbank, North Coast Repertory, Lewis Family Playhouse, The Carrie Hamilton Theatre at the Pasadena Playhouse, and many more. They have also headlined comedy events around the country and performed at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago, Texas State University, Sarasota Improv Festival, and dozens more.

Writing about Impro Theatre, American Theatre magazine said, "These virtuosic talents simply are as superhuman as they seem. These serious professional actors, classically trained, can write on their feet better than many writers can type at a desk. Impro's work has taught me to demand more from the theatre." Los Angeles Times calls Impro Theatre, "Amazing! One of the funniest evenings in town. The troupe spins an entire play into comedy gold right before your eyes." Impro's shows have been consistently honored with "Ovation Recommended" and "Critic's Picks," and they were named by LAist as one of the 12 Best Theatre Companies in Los Angeles.

Pledge Drive UnScripted starts on June 30, and the 30-hour improv marathon continues through July 1, 2017. Most shows are Pay-What-You-Can. Full schedule is at www.ImproTheatre.com.
