Studio C Artists announces the four-week run of a collection of Writer/Director Dean Donofrio's plays, CRANKY COCKY WORRIED NERVOUS, written by Dean Donofrio, directed by Dean Donofrio and John Coppola, and produced by Michael Sonntag.

The show opened Friday, May 6, 2016, continuing on consecutive Fridays and Saturdays through May 28th. All performances start at 8:00PM, at the Studio C Artists performance space along Theatre Row in Hollywood.

CRANKY COCKY WORRIED NERVOUS is comprised of four irreverent short plays, which include: PLACE OF BUSINESS (Trust issues arise between worker and client in a hair salon.), directed by Donofrio, starring Monica Davis & Amelia Pawlak; FRANK TAKES A BREAK (Forget the horse. Make the turtle.), directed by Donofrio, starring Sean Vincent Biggins & Seth Ruffer; HOW TO CLOSE THE DEAL (A hyper- caffeinated woman confronts a puppy thief.), directed by Coppola, starring Kim Acquarelli, Rachael McLachlan, & Andres Solorzano; and A FOR EFFORT (Marianne wants to win. Her guests just want to go home.), directed by Donofrio, starring Armen Babalou, Torrie Bogda, Adam Clark as Donald, Mandy Denaux, Anne Elizabeth, & Jordan Santoro.

Dean Donofrio is a writer. How wonderful for him. Dean has produced six shows on stage in Los Angeles, five featuring a collection of his original one-act plays - Loose Change in 2009, Shut Your Stupid Face And Other Suggestions in 2010, Early Warning Signs in 2011, Nothing Is Different But Everything Has Changed in 2012, and Things People Do When They're Desperate in 2014. He also produced one full length play at Studio C in 2014 called How To Plan A Holiday Miracle. Having worked in both film and television, wearing many different hats, Dean's primary goal is to receive money to write. He has recently been commissioned to adapt a book into a full-length play called Smithville, and has two feature screenplays in development, 6 Figures written with Matt Harry, and Whack Job.

John Coppola was born in Brooklyn, NY, and has had a multifaceted career as a director, producer, actor and teacher. He began his acting career over twenty years ago while attending Yale's prestigious Dramat Purple Crayon. He has appeared on Broadway numerous times (Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, American Buffalo) and in films such as Into the Paradise, Last Exit to Brooklyn, Out of Gas on Lover's Leap, and You Gotta Leave Your Mark. As a director, John has helmed over 25 theatrical productions in New York, Los Angeles, and abroad. The movie Possibility, which he directed, took the 2005 Grand Jury Prize for short film at the New York International Film and Video Festival. As part of Studio C Artists, John offers private coaching to a thriving group of students, established actors, and movie stars.

Michael Sonntag is a producer, casting director, and acting coach. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Michael began his career producing local evening news for NBC, after graduating from the University of Notre Dame. He has worked both in front of and behind the camera, in a wide range of positions - most recently, developing several films with his business partner, John Coppola. Their next project, The Starfish Scream, is slated for production later this year. Michael is also of the founding partners of Studio C Artists.

The running schedule for CRANKY COCKY WORRIED NERVOUS is as follows: Fridays - May 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th; and Saturdays - May 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. All shows at 8pm. Approximate running time is 60 minutes. The ticket price is $15.00 for advance purchase and $20.00 at the door for general admission, and reservations can be made by visiting nowplaying.studiocartists.com.
