Springer to Host AMERICA'S GOT TALENT LIVE! in Las Vegas

Mayor turned Talk show host turned Broadway actor Jerry Springer has been confirmed as the host for 'America's Got Talent Live!', a new stage show based on the popular NBC reality television show. The show will begin a 10-week run on October 14 at the CHI Theatre in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Headlining the show will be Kevin Skinner, the country music singer who went on to win a million dollars in this year's competition of America's Got Talent. Surprise guests will also be featured.

Springer was recently seen on Broadway and in the national tour of 'Chicago' in which he portrayed the role of Billy Flynn. Springer's talk show, the Jerry Springer Show, was the inspiration for the British musical 'Jerry Springer: The Opera'. The production won four Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Musical. The musical received a number of American regional theatre productions and made its New York City debut on January 29 and January 30, 2008 at Carnegie Hall. Harvey Keitel starred as Jerry Springer.
