Summit Theatre Group, Lees Summit, Missouri, will kick off the 2014 holiday season with the heart-warming musical "THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI" in a dinner theatre setting at the Emaline Ballroom, 616 SW Third Street in Lees Summit, Missouri, December 4th, 5th and 6th. The show is the perfect start to the holiday season, complete with magical moments, humor, wonderful music - it is simply slick holiday entertainment for every member of the family

"THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI" is a captivating holiday musical based on two of O. Henry's short stories and set in New York City in the 19th century - a pennyless young couple sell their most prized possessions (she her beautiful long hair and he an heirloom pocket watch) to buy a Christmas gift for the other. It's a show that speaks to the joy of giving, the true spirit of the holiday season and is beautifully wrapped and tied with a red bow with fun and music that will fill your heart with warmth and may even bring a tear to your eye.

The show is directed and choreographed by Kristen Sullivan; music and songs include: Gifts of the Magi, How Much to buy my Dream, Burn Luck, Pockets and The same Girl.

"THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI" will be presented in dinner theatre format Thursday evening December 4th at 6:00 p.m. -- Friday evening December 5th at 6:00 p.m. -- Saturday December 6th a matinee at 1:00 p.m. and dinner performance 6:00 p.m. at The Emaline Ballroom, 616 SW 3rd Street in Lees Summit.

Tickets are $30.00 ($25.00 for seniors and students) including the holiday buffet and are available at the Lees Summit Hy-Vee Food Stores, or on the theater website www.summittheatregroup.com, or by calling the reservation line at 816-463-2654.
