Take a magical musical journey under the sea at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre when the Pyramid Players proudly present The Little Mermaid this fall. This collaboration by Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark, is a sweet stage adaptation of the classic Hans Christian Andersen. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

An adventurous mermaid, Melody wants to emerge from the safety of the deep sea and explore what's beyond the ocean surface: the human world. King Poseidon forbids his daughter from leaving her underwater home to be with dangerous humans.

When Melody slips away from her own birthday party to see for herself, she winds up rescuing a drowning prince and falling in love with him. Desperate to become human, she bargains with Seaweed, the evil sea witch, to make her dream come true - at the cost of her beautiful voice. Along with her friends Bobell, the frog, and Turtell, the turtle, Melody sets out to find her land legs and true love!

The Little Mermaid stars Gabrielle Harker as Melody, Craig Underwood as King Poseidon, Antonio King as Prince Alexander and Rebecca DeVries McConnell as Seaweed the sea witch. Rounding out the cast are Christine Zavakos as Bobell the bullfrog, A.J. Morrison as Turtell the turtle, Adam Crowe as Fogerty the attendant to the prince, Amanda Downey as Flutter the butterfly, Annalee Traeger as Swordfish, Allyson Hankins as Angelfish, Conner Chamberlin as Sea Horse, Lauren Morgan as Princess Victoria, and Deb Wims as Collier the dog.

This exciting adventure is the final production in the 2016 Live Theatre for Kids series and is live on stage through Nov. 19 at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Children will have the opportunity to meet the cast of The Little Mermaid after each show for pictures and autographs.
