The war is an unstoppable, destructive rush that no image can represent a word, not a sound. With his successful acting front director Luk Perceval has found an access to one of the most difficult issues of the stage. Erich Maria Remarque century work on the Western Front, he writes the history of Belgium and studied the role for his country as a battlefield of the First World War.
The texts of the drama front, he has now placed in the hands of the Israeli composer Chaya Czernowin. She gently merges Perceval piece with the surreal short story Homecoming of acclaimed Chinese author Xue Can and contrasted the violent history of European men with a young woman who finds refuge at the end of the world. Under the baton of Titus Engel created here with six singers and six actresses and actors a contemporary opera by the centrifugal forces of the modern world.
