Il Volo Returns to the Fox Theatre with 'We Are Love Tour' September 5

For the millions of U.S. fans who fell in love with the astonishing talent of Il Volo following their show stopping PBS Special Il Volo Takes Flight, or as special guests of Barbra Streisand's fall 2012 tour, the boys will return to North America for a series of 17 concerts, heading to the Fox Theatre on Thursday, September 5 at 7:30 p.m.; Il Volo made their Fox Theatre debut in 2011.

Il Volo's latest cd, We Are Love (Special Edition), is available now. The new offering will feature selections from their fall 2012 release We Are Love as well as five newly recorded songs including: One Direction's "Little Things," Sarah McLachlan's "Angel," "Surrender (Torna A Sorrento)," "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" and West Side Story's "Maria." We Are Love (Special Edition) was produced by Tony Renis and Humberto Gatica.

Il Volo's new PBS special, Il Volo: We Are Love, was shot in Miami at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater in March and is now airing nationally on PBS (check local listings). The special was produced by Richard Jay-Alexander, directed by Scott Lochmus with Detroit PBS as the producing agent. Il Volo's debut PBS Special Il Volo Takes Flight has seen over 2,100 broadcasts between its original airing in March 2012, and again in June and December 2012.

Il Volo, Piero Barone (19), Gianluca Ginoble (18) and Ignazio Boschetto (18), released their self-titled debut album in April 2011 where it debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts and has gone on to sell over 1 million copies worldwide. Their astonishing vocals are reflected in their live cd/dvd set Il Volo Takes Flight - Live From The Detroit Opera Housewhich include a mix of reimagined classics and original material. Il Volo's second studio album We Are Love was released last fall as the group finished up a North American headline tour and a guest spot on Barbra Streisand's tour. The trio's live performances have received standing ovations across the U.S. and critical acclaim.

Il Volo have appeared on major US television shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Talk, Ellen, Rachel Ray and made a surprise appearance on the final episode of the HBO Series Entourage.
