Based on the novel that sold more than 15 million copies and became a worldwide phenomenon, LIFE OF PI is an epic story of perseverance and hope that speaks to every generation and “gives new life to Broadway” (The Today Show).
After a shipwreck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, a sixteen-year-old boy named Pi survives on a lifeboat with four companions—a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Royal Bengal tiger.

March 07, 2025 Life of Pi, the new play based on the book of the same name, is being hosted at the Wharton Center from March 11th to 16th. Life of Pi opened in the West End in 2022, amassing 5 Olivier Awards (including Best New Play). It had a short stint on Broadway in 2023, where it ended up winning Best Scenic Design, Best Sound Design and Best Lighting Design at the Tony Awards.

March 05, 2024 The Wharton Center has announced the lineup for its 2024-25 Broadway season. The season kicks off this October with Les Miserables, running October 8-13, followed by Shucked, MJ, Life of Pi, and Chicago. Add-on shows include Hamilton and The Book of Mormon.
