The Fine Arts Center's Theatre Company announces the line-up for its 25th season, featuring Gypsy, A Christmas Story and The Drowsy Chaperone, as well as the Colorado Premiere of the Pulitzer Prize nominated play, Other Desert Cities, plus, four Second Stage productions.

The FAC is offering six shows instead of the usual five with no increase in the subscription rates. The Second Stage productions will be performed in the 108-seat Music Room and will include the launching of a new play festival, Rough Writers, a series of readings of new theatrical works that are in development.

"I believe our selections for next season will tantalize our audiences and represent a diverse slate of excellent theatrical offerings," said FAC Producing Artistic Director, Scott RC Levy. "From the crowning achievement in American musical theatre of the 20th Century (Gypsy) to one of the most awarded new plays of 2012 (Other Desert Cities), the year will be filled with beguiling and captivating theatre."

Other Desert Cities will make its Colorado Premiere at the Fine Arts Center after earning five Tony Award nominations and being a Pulitzer Prize for Drama Finalist in 2012.

"There will be a wonderful interplay between the performing arts, museum and education departments -- all three parts of the Fine Arts Center – in the spring of 2013, when the FAC will focus on the subject of family," said FAC President and CEO Sam Gappmayer. "Other Desert Cities will certainly be a highlight of that program."
