Boulder's Dinner Theatre to Open THE FULL MONTY Tomorrow

September 5
2:26 PM 2013

Just when the air outside begins to feel a tad bit nippy and people are grabbing a little sweater to stay warm, Boulder's Dinner Theatre (BDT) says it's time to take it all off! Head on over to BDT this fall when the theatre presents The Full Monty, an uplifting story of redemption and heart. Layered with a tightly woven storyline, this stage adaptation of the 1997 British film by the same name centers around a group of unemployed steelworkers who are frustrated with life, women and work. Nominated for ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical, The Full Monty plays on the Boulder's Dinner Theatre stage September 6 - November 9, 2013.

About the Show When Jerry (Seth Caikowski) finds out he may lose custody of his son, he and five friends: Dave (Joel Adam Chavez), Harold (Scott Beyette), Ethan (Burke Walton), Malcolm (Brett Ambler), and Horse (Robert Johnson) hatch an unlikely and daring plan to make some quick cash. After seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of professional male strippers, the men decide that, regardless of looks or ability, they will put on their own strip act at a local club. In the process, they band together to face their fears and anxieties head-on; from being overweight and feeling inadequate, to plain old loneliness. What they find is that together, they're strong enough to tackle just about anything.

Please note: While the ultimate themes expressed in the show - about taking charge of one's life and following one's dreams - are great lessons at any age, The Full Monty is rated R for mature content and brief nudity.

Tickets for The Full Monty are on sale now. Prices start at just $37, and include both the performance and dinner served by the stars of the show. All tickets for opening weekend (Friday, September 6 - Sunday, September 8, 2013) are just $37. Group rate tickets and season subscriptions are available for all performances throughout the year. Call (303) 449-6000 or log on to for reservations and/or additional details about the show.

Boulder's Dinner Theatre presents four Broadway-quality musicals each season, and has been recognized locally and nationally for theatrical excellence. Boulder's Daily Camera praises BDT's "consistency in technical achievement, performance and overall production level as it sets a high standard for theatrical professionalism in the Boulder area." The Full Monty opens BDT's 36th season on September 6, 2013, followed by Monty Python's Spamalot, the regional premiere of Sisters of Swing, and Shrek The Musical.
