CIRQUE DREAMS HOLIDAZE lights up the 2013 holiday season when it transforms the stage at The Buell Theatre into a wonderland of fantasy and disbelief now through December 22nd only. Broadway director Neil Goldberg re-imagines the holiday season with more than 300 costumes, 20 acts and 30 performers from 12 countries showcasing an endless variety of imaginative, heart-pounding and gravity- defying feats you have to see to believe. Experience gingerbread men flipping midair, toy soldiers marching on thin wires along with snowmen, icemen and penguins, balancing, jumping and spinning in disbelief. The show celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with singers, choreography and exciting production numbers. Performers twirl, bounce and soar thru the air to original music and seasonal favorites brought to life within a stage setting of gigantic gifts, colossal candy canes and 30-foot towering trees & soldiers creating a wonderland of amazement.

And now for something completely different!

Seriously - I mean Completely Different! Let's face it - this show is an odd duck, and by duck I mean if a bedazzled duck laid golden eggs that acrobats jumped out of while BLACK SWANs with six-foot necks did interpretive dances around them, while golden geese descended from the rafters singing "The 12 Days of Christmas"! If you can visualize that, then you totally get this show and would truly appreciate it!

Sadly its idealistic efforts to have as much Christmas fun as possible was its biggest downfall. With so much going on onstage, it tended to distract from the main attraction that was trying to impress the audience. Also the singers made the show seem like it belonged on a cruise ship rather that on a stage...on land. But while there were so many glitter bombs during the first act, the second act seemed to correct itself with less glitz and more eye-opening stunts. Sometimes less is more, but even with all of the action and distraction, there were definitely some wow moments and the kids seemed to absolutely love it (and isn't what this time of year is all about). Filled with ribbon work, high flying balancing acts, flexible strongmen, jump ropes, roller skates, hula hoops, balls, juggling, quick fashion changes and a human chandelier, this show was a feast of fascinating talent from all over the globe. Among the several memorable and awe inspiring acts, there was Twirling (Flying Ornaments), Rockin Around (Skating Engine), Cheers (Candle Balancer), Hold On Tight (Cyclers), Doing the Gingerbread Flip, Weather Change (Fashionistas), Double the Fun (Target Funster), Cool as Ice (Ice Men), March On Line (Toy Soldier), Penguins (Balancing Penguins), and Holy Night (Flying Angels)

If you want to see something completely unique this Christmas, then do go see this show, look past all of the clutter and be in awe of these truly amazing feats and acts. CIRQUE DREAMS HOLIDAZE is peaking audiences curiosities now through December 22nd.
