Lovers of Celtic music are in for an enchanting evening when Women of Ireland takes to the Eisemann Center stage.

The production features a 20-member touring company made up of the best female performers within the Irish musical tradition performing alongside other world class musicians, singers and dancers. The full scale production from Ireland has been described as "mesmerizing" by The Irish Examiner and the talent of the cast as "superhuman at times...gripping" by The Sarasota Herald Tribune.

The name Women of Ireland refers to a beautiful piece of music bearing the same name and known in the Irish language as "Mná na hÉireann." Women of Ireland will present a select group of female artists to showcase the well of talent that exists within Ireland's traditions of music, song and dance. The theme will be the presentation of the most revered qualities of Ireland's ethnic music, transported from the Irish fireside to the Eisemann Center's Hill Performance Hall. Special significance will be placed on depicting the pure qualities of Irish music in a contemporary setting, as well as timeless pop classics that will be given a stirring Celtic treatment.

Much loved Irish songs such as "Danny Boy," "Carrickfergus" and "You Raise Me Up" are intermingled with classic vocal numbers like "Let It Be" and "God Bless America," and all pieces are given a unique Irish and Celtic treatment. Alongside these beautiful vocal numbers are emotive instrumental tracks, graceful dancers and special guest artist Anthony Fallon, a four-time world champion and long time lead dancer with Riverdance.

Performance is Saturday, March 18 at 8:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased online at www.eisemanncenter.com, by telephone or in person.
