Rover Dramawerks to Open New Venue in February

Rover Dramawerks, regionally known for professional productions of unique scripts, opens its new dedicated venue in West Plano in February. Now in its fourteenth year, nine in Downtown Plano, Rover has announced a new 4300 square foot theatrical facility in Ruisseau Village at the northwest corner Parker and 75. The custom-built facility boasts a configurable Black Box Performance Hall and all offices for the company, as well as a professional designed meeting room/lobby by Studio Brown Designs, a popular commercial, residential, facility, and events designer across the state. The facility is designed for productions, meetings, classes, events,and concerts.

All performances previously announced for the 14th Season will be presented at the new Rover Dramawerks Theatre except for One Day Only 22, their popular 24-hour play festival, on Saturday, January 25 at the Courtyard Theater. The next mainstage show, Out of Sterno, will open February 6 as originally announced, at the new facility.

The theatre's new address is 221 W. Parker Rd., Suite 580, Plano, TX 75023, in the Ruisseau Village shopping center. The newly remodeled shopping center boasts seven local restaurants, with free and ample parking. It is also accessible via the DARTrail.

Sponsorships are still available for productions and for naming rights of the Black Box Performance Hall. Their "Virtual Housewarming Party" through CrowdRise (http://www.crowdrise.com/rovershousewarming) has raised nearly$7,000.00 in contributions so far, and donations continue to be accepted onlineand via cash or check.
