MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL Coming to Southern Theatre, 4/24-27
The international hit show Menopause The Musical has identified Columbus as a "hot" national market and will play the Southern Theatre for 6 performances from April 24-27. Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common meet by chance at a lingerie sale, but a sisterhood is soon created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer "The Silent Passage." The all-female cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats, and chocolate binges in this laughter-filled, 90-minute musical parody set to classic tunes from the '60s, '70s and '80s.
CAPA presents the Menopause The Musical at the Southern Theatre (21 E. Main St.) April 24-27. The performance schedule is as follows:
Thursday, April 24, 8pm
Friday, April 25, 8pm
Saturday, April 26, 2pm & 8pm
Sunday, April 27, 2pm & 5:30pm
This performance is made possible through the generous support of 2013-14 CAPA season sponsor American Airlines.
Menopause The Musical is produced by GFour Productions and is the work of writer Jeanie Linders, director Seth Greenleaf, and choreographer Daria Melendez. Writer and producer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived "The Change." Since opening in Orlando in 2001, Menopause The Musical has entertained nearly 11 million women in more than 450 US cities, nearly 300 international cities, and 15 countries.
