Columbus Children's Choir is proud to present the 11th Annual Voice of the City Vocal Competition. On January 28th and 29th, singers ages 8 to 18 will audition with a song of his or her choosing before a panel of judges. After a preliminary audition process, which typically draws more than 100 contestants, the judges will narrow the hopefuls to approximately 30 singers in three age groups. Finalists will compete in front of a live audience for the $1,000 Grand Prize on March 18th in the Voice of the City Finals. The concert is filled with popular songs and Broadway hits, and is family friendly.

Judging the competition is a panel of entertainment professionals including New York City agent and owner of the Carson-Adler Talent Agency, Nancy Carson. Carson is the author of Raising a Star and has represented high profile performers such as Glee's Lea Michelle, Scrubs' Donald Faison, Matt Damon, Cynthia Nixon, Brittany Spears and Mischa Barton. Voices of the City winners and finalists have gone on to become Carson clients.

Proceeds from the Voice of the City competition go to support Columbus Children's Choir and the 500+ children it serves each year through workshops, festivals, community engagement, and its longstanding choral education program. Tickets for the finals are $17 online at $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from columbuschildrenschoir.org and at the door.
