An aging theatre couple with their last shot at stardom sets the stage for the hilarious farce, Moon Over Buffalo presented by Playhouse South at the Clark Haines Theatre Fridays and Saturdays October 15, 16, 22 & 23 at 8 pm and Sunday October 17 at 2 pm.

In this play-within-a-play, veteran stage actors George and Charlotte Hay find themselves close to the end of their less than illustrious careers. Appearing at a Buffalo theatre, their repertory company is in the midst of performing two stage classics, Cyrano de Bergerac and Noel Coward's, Private Lives. When rumors begin to swirl that the famous Hollywood director, Frank Capra, is coming to Buffalo to audition George and Charlotte as replacement stars in his current film, misunderstandings ensue and the merriment begins. Moon Over Buffalo opened on Broadway in 1995 and ran for 309 performances.
The cast for Moon Over Buffalo includes Geoff Burkman as George Hay, Joanne Augenstein as Charlotte Hay, Megan Cooper as Roz Hay, Rob Breving as Paul Singer, Brad Bishop as Howard, Lisa Carter as Eileen, Terry Lupp as Ethel and Rick Johnson as Richard Maynard. Jim Lockwood directs the show and Dawn Roth Smith is the producer.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (over 60) and $7 for students. For more information and reservations, please call the Box Office at 888-262-3792 or visit www.playhousesouth.org.
