Packed with songs that rock, and will rock your world, the autobiographical musical of the late composer of Rent will be performed in the intimate setting of the Trust Performing Arts Center's Black Box Theater, 37 North Market Street. PRiMA Theatre's production of Tick, Tick . . . Boom! marks the musical's Central PA premiere of the show that tells the story of Jonathan Larson, before he made it big as the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer of Rent. Fittingly, Larson's big break-Rent-marks its 20th anniversary this year.

Opening night coincides with downtown Lancaster's First Friday, March 3, and individual tickets are available from $24 at www.primatheatre.org or 717-327-5124. Additional performances are slated for Friday and Saturday, March 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18, beginning at 7:30 pm.

The 90-seat theater offers a personal setting for the cast, band and audience to connect through the story of the aspiring playwright/composer's sacrifices made to achieve his big theatrical break. Set in 1990, the endearing tale of personal discovery is presented as a rock musical filled with instantly appealing melodies and a unique blend of musical theatre styles. The production marks PRiMA Theatre's first featuring Actor's Equity Association performers: Randy Jeter and Jessica Dey. PRiMA Executive Producer Mitch Nugent rounds out the three-person cast, who collectively performs 10 roles and 14 songs throughout the show. The cast is directed by Vanessa Hofer, choreographed by Kristin Pontz, and music directed by Adam Rineer.

Since 2010, PRiMA Theatre produces contemporary and musically-focused theatrics that offer a twist on the expected, offering fresh theatrical experiences to central Pennsylvania in an ever-changing list of venues throughout Lancaster County.
