The Drama Desk Award-winning singer-songwriter Michael Garin and the singer-comedienne Mardie Millit, reprise their well-received cabaret two-hander, "Sleepless in September," for six assorted Tuesdays at the Metropolitan Room, beginning November 23. Renamed "Sleepless Since September," the show performs the last two Tuesdays in November (November 23 & 30), and the first two Tuesdays in January (January 4 & 11) and February (February 1 & 8), all at 7pm.

The insomniac duo, who perform weekly at Elaine's, began their Met Room run on September 6. Reviewing for broadwayworld.com Michael Dale said this "giddily fun romp... is delightfully entertaining." Andrew Martin for nitelifeexchange.com noted that two send audiences into "paroxysms of joy."

"Sleepless Since September," so named to exploit Garin's role as a composer-lyricist for the Broadway-bound musical "Sleepless in Seattle," brings together a dizzyingly eclectic mix of American and international standards, with a sprinkling of goofy Garin-penned classics which he's honed over the years as resident piano man at The Monkey Bar, The Rainbow Room, Café Feenjon and the notorious VIP Room at Limelight. The actress Keira Naughton serves as the show's stage director.

"Sleepless Since September" features absolutely no songs from the upcoming Broadway tuner with the misleadingly similar name, lest Garin welcome getting himself sued. Garin co-wrote and co-starred in the early 90's Off-Broadway cult phenomenon "Song of Singapore," for which he won (co-writing and performing) both the Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards.

"Sleepless in September" performs Tuesdays November 23 and 30, January 4 and 11, and February 1 and 8, all at 7pm. The cover charge is $15, with a two-drink minimum.
