Tom Cruise Tops Forbes' 2012 'Highest Paid Hollywood Actors' List

Forbes has unveiled its annual list of the highest-paid working actors in Hollywood. Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise tops the list with an annual salary of $75 million. The actor, who celebrates his 50th birthday today, has recently been in the spotlight due to his pending divorce from wife Katie Holmes. His latest Mission Impossible installment brought in over $700 million at the box office.

Cruise has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards for the same movies: Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Jerry Maguire (1996), Magnolia (1999). Cruise's first appearance in a major film was 1981's Taps. His first leading role was in the film Risky Business, followed by the iconic role of a naval pilot in the 1986 film Top Gun. He also starred as secret agent Ethan Hunt in the series of Mission: Impossible action films.

His other film credits include The Color of Money (1986), Rain Man (1988), Days of Thunder (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), Vanilla Sky (2001), Minority Report (2002), The Last Samurai (2003), Collateral (2004), and War of the Worlds (2005) and 2012's Rock of Ages.

Among other names on this year's Forbes list are Dwayne Johnson ($36 million), Sacha Baron Cohen ($30 million), and the Twilight stars, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson ($26.5 million). Check out the list below.
