Elton John to Perform on ABC's CONCERT FOR THE QUEEN, 6/5

ABC has the exclusive American broadcast rights to CONCERT FOR THE QUEEN: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration," which features a veritable who's who of the music world, including Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Tom Jones, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Stevie Wonder and young recording sensation Jessie J. In addition to the performances showcased on the special, Katie Couric will take viewers backstage for a unique view of the festivities, including interviews with the concert's biggest stars. "Concert for The Queen: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration with Katie Couric" airs Tuesday, June 5, 9:00-11:00 p.m., ET.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, TRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Catherine, Prince Harry and other members of the Royal Family will be in attendance at the concert, which is being held in front of Her Majesty The Queen's residence, Buckingham Palace. The evening will also include fireworks and a light show.

John Green is the executive producer of "The Jubilee Queen with Katie Couric" and "Concert for The Queen: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration with Katie Couric."

In his four-decade career John has sold more than 250 million records, making him one of the most successful artists of all time. His single "Candle in the Wind 1997" has sold over 33 million copies worldwide, and is the best selling single in Billboard history. He has more than 50 Top 40 hits, including seven consecutive No. 1 US albums, 56 Top 40 singles, 16 Top 10, four No. 2 hits, and nine No. 1 hits. He has won six Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Tony Award.

In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked him Number 49 on its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time. John composed the music for a West End Theatre production of Billy Elliot the Musical in 2005 with playwright Lee Hall. Along with 'Billy Elliot', John's other Broadway hits include 'The Lion King' and 'Aida'.
