Blake Shelton, country music superstar and judge of NBC's 'The Voice', is organizing a benefit concert that recently devastated the state of Oklahoma, Billboard reports. The terrible storm has left thousands homeless and killed at least 24 people as well as destroying the city of Moore.

At the conclusion of the most recent episode of 'The Voice', Shelton said "We'll know more about it in the next 24 hours...I'm hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly."

This storm in particular hits home for Shelton, who grew up in Oklahoma and calls Ada, Oklahoma his hometown. Ada is about 75 miles from Moore, where the storm hit.

Shelton and his wife, fellow Country star Miranda Lambert, opened 'The Voice' with a rendition of his song 'Over You.' The episode was a departure from the norm for the show, opening in complete silence.

'I think it was the perfect song for this situation,...The moment was right and I wish things would've been different and I wouldn't have been thinking about performing a song like that.' Shelton said after their heartbreaking performance.
