In a remarkable paring down of his own Ryan Greer Jazz Group, acclaimed for its reinvention of the Great American Songbook, vocalist Ryan Greer teams with bandmate John Feliciano on upright for a standard-bending collaboration between voice and bass. The duo will play The Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22nd St.) on Thursday, October 11 at 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $20.00, 2 Beverage Minimum.

Ryan and John spark a solid chemistry with their imaginative interplay on classic jazz compositions. This premiere set freshly takes on legendary tunesmiths like Richard Rodgers and Billy Strayhorn, as well as modern greats like Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, as the duo elevates the musical exchange to near-clairvoyant jam session.

Ryan Greer is a self-producing artist in New York City whose body of work spans theater, dance and music—all rooted in jazz. Ryan finds creative catharsis as a vocalist and bandleader.

John Feliciano plays on both upright and electric bass in a variety of styles for several bands in New York City. He studied jazz at the University of Rhode Island before graduating from the internationally renowned jazz program at SUNY Purchase, mentoring with a number of musicians including David Ruffels, Kermit Driscoll and Todd Coolman. He is an original member of the Ryan Greer Jazz Group.
