Kirk Douglas' new one-man show "Before I Forget," directed by Jeff Kanew, recently ended a run at DouglasPlus, the new programming space for the CTG/Kirk Douglas Theatre. Douglas invited CNN to his home in Beverly Hills to discuss his show and what he's learned about himself over the course of a life that began in 1916 in Amsterdam, New York, as Issur Danielovitch. We are pleased to bring you the segment here on BWW TV's StageTube.

Press notes stated, "He was a ragman's son who became a Hollywood legend and now, born storyteller Kirk Douglas at last steps onto the stage to reflect on his remarkable life and career. "Before I Forget" is an intimate evening with one of the most affable, talented and mesmerizing icons of the screen.

The 92-year-old author, philanthropist and star of such classic films as "Spartacus," "Seven Days in May" and "Lust for Life" has long promised to appear at his namesake, the Kirk Douglas Theatre, according to CTG Artistic Director Michael Ritchie, "We've been waiting to hear the stories from the man himself and now he's living up to his word. How lucky are we!"

Douglas was the very first actor to speak on the stage of the Kirk Douglas Theatre during the celebratory events for the theatre's opening in the fall of 2004. He and his wife Anne (a former CTG Board member) generously contributed to the funding for the creation of the theatre.
