Performing Dance Arts (http://www.PerformingDanceArts.ca), Toronto's leading dance studio for children of all skill levels, is announcing its attendance at the 25th annual Rhythm Dance Competition in Waterloo, Ontario.

"There's always a feeling of excitement before entering any competition," says Ashley Daychak, artistic director at Performing Dance Arts. "When there's an opportunity to compete against other accomplished dancers and dance studios, it provides a great gauge for determining how well dancers can really perform under pressure."

Extending across Ontario and Calgary, Rhythm Dance has been throwing enjoyable dance competitions for kids of all ages since their establishment in 1990. They pride themselves on always using professional theatre staging and for being hands-on with all of their competitions, which are purposely scheduled on weekends to avoid conflicts with the children's educations. "It's great to be part of such a recognized and organized competition," Daychak adds. "It's difficult to be committed to anything for 25 years, and the team at Rhythm Dance continues to do an amazing job."

Performing Dance Arts also attended the JUMP Dance Convention this past weekend in Buffalo, New York. The JUMP Dance convention is the largest dance convention in the world, touring 26 US cities and five international locations. "While both JUMP and Rhythm Dance are competitions, the overall experience is equally as important as who wins and who loses," Daychak concludes. "Of course, the kids want to go out there and try to win and they're encouraged to be as competitive as they can, but the experience of dancing in front of a crowd, travelling, dealing with adversity-all of these are valuable lessons that can't be judged simply by which team danced the best."

Performing Dance Arts has been providing a friendly and creative atmosphere for kids for over 26 years. Located in Woodbridge, Ontario, Performing Dance Arts' 11,000-square-foot facility offers classes in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, and hip hop in recreational and competitive levels. Students receive quality instruction from Performing Dance Arts' qualified dance educators with a dance teaching designation and/or dance arts degree.
