Following two sold-out performances, comedic sensation Jo Koy returns to Treasure Island November 1 at 9 p.m. Guests must be 18 years or older to attend.

Pursuing his dream of a career in comedy, Koy began performing at a Las Vegas coffee house in 1994. Encouraged by his mother, who Koy credits for his comedic and acting talents, the comedian used insightful jokes, his Filipino heritage, family humor and an explosive stage presence to rise to stardom. Koy's stage name comes from the Filipino term "Jokoy" which means joker and was his childhood nickname.

When Koy landed a coveted spot on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in 2005, he joined the ranks of the select few to ever receive a standing ovation. Following his Tonight Show success, Koy hit the road as a part of Carlos Mencia's "Punisher Tour" in 2006.

Since then, Koy has appeared in numerous television shows and specials including "Jaime Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and various VH1 specials. He also appears regularly as a round table guest on "Chelsea Lately."

Koy starred in two of his own specials on Comedy Central, "Don't Make Him Angry" in 2009 and "Lights Out" in 2012. Most recently he guest starred in the pilot episode of the ABC comedy "Family Tools."

Currently, Koy can be heard on "The Michael Yo and Jo Koy Show" podcast Tuesdays at 6 p.m. PST/9p.m. EST, and as a regular guest on "The Adam Corrolla Show" podcast.

Tickets are available starting at $49.95, plus tax and handling fees, and can be purchased online at www.treasureisland.com, or by calling the box office at 866-712-9308 or702-894-7723.
