Roswell Rudd, also known as The Incredible Honk, is one of the most imaginative, stimulating players. Rudd is known for his work with groundbreaking groups and musicians like Herbie Nichols, the New York Arts Quartet, Cecil Taylor, Archie Shepp, Carla Bley, and Steve Lacy. Singer-songwriter Heather Masse is a member of the Billboard chart-topping folk group, The Wailin' Jennys. Rudd and Masse met one another about four years ago while appearing on A Prairie Home Companion. With almost 50 years difference in their ages, their chemistry is palpable and their collaborative album, August Love Song is packed with music that makes you wish you could live forever just to hear more of it

Leyla McCalla is a New York-born Haitian-American, who sings in French, Haitian Creole and English, and plays cello, tenor banjo and guitar. Currently living in New Orleans, McCalla is deeply influenced by traditional Creole, Cajun and Haitian music, as well as American jazz and folk. Her music is at once earthy, elegant, soulful and witty. It vibrates with three centuries of history, yet also feels strikingly fresh, distinctive and contemporary. After touring extensively in the U.S., Europe and Israel with Vari-Colored Songs, McCalla settled down to work on her next album, A Day For The Hunter, A Day For The Prey. A Day explores the themes of social justice and pan-African consciousness that marked Vari-Colored Songs, and will once again feature songs sung in three languages.

In 2009, The Mother Hips rescued a short stack of 2-inch analog tapes from a Los Angeles basement and started picking through hours of material, most of it recorded around the era that produced 1995's Part Timer Goes Full and '96's Shootout. They were thrilled with what they heard. In fact, the band was so prolific during this period that literally dozens of top-notch songs were shelved and never saw the light of day as the group continued to spit out new material with machine gun rapidity. Now the band has compiled the cream of this lost crop into this eleven-song treasure trove titled Chronicle Man. At the center of The Mother Hips is duo Tim Bluhm and Greg Liocono who have spent over two decades writing, recording and performing their brand of "California soul" music together.

Dash "Diz" Mihok is a Downtown New York native whose taste spans a broad spectrum of music, from Grandmaster Flash, Eric B. and Rakim and Pharoah Monch to Led Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers, Van Morrison and Prokofiev. He started his first rap group when he was 12 and fostered his love for the art form throughout the very influential East Coast hip-hop scene of the early '90s. In 2004, he guested on his dear friend Sabac Red's record, I Have a Dream. In 2005, he wrote the title track "Test of a Man" for the movie Green Street Hooligans and began collaborating with long-time friend and jazz drummer Daniel Freedman on a number of records. Most recently, he has teamed up with Morris Hayes, Joel Hellman, Mike Choi, Elliot Yamin and Sharlotte Gibson to form Diz and the Fam and is excited to finally share his music with the masses.

Michael Longoria returns to Joe's Pub with an encore concert celebrating the release of his solo Broadway album, Broadway Brick By Brick. The album features twelve Broadway classics including selections from The Wiz, West Side Story, The Sound Of Music, Jersey Boys, A Chorus Line, Sunset Boulevard, Mamma Mia, Song And Dance, Company, The Wizard of Oz, and Pippin. Longoria will perform the album in its entirety and share the stories behind the songs that inspired a child Mariachi singer to dream big and, at the age of seventeen, set out for a new life on the stages of New York City.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre is the monthly gathering of the International Order of Sodomites, the centuries-old organization which sets the mythic Gay Agenda. Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) will honor Javier Muñoz, Broadway star in the lead role in Hamilton: An American Musical," with the 2016 Howard Ashman Award, for his activism in the fight against HIV/AIDS. In 2002, Javier was diagnosed with HIV and he continues to speak out about his status-particularly in the media-because of the stigma directed at people living with HIV/AIDS. Proceeds from the cabaret will support GMHC's programs, services, and advocacy, which benefit approximately 10,000 clients every year. The Howard Ashman Award is named after the Oscar and Grammy-winning lyricist of Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin who passed away due to AIDS-related complications in 1991. Through celebrating Ashman and honoring Muñoz, the Broadway community will share a critical message: We must never forget the people AIDS has taken from us, and in that remembrance we must draw strength and inspiration to keep fighting the epidemic.

Their beautiful folk pop music lives up to their namesake - the patron of poetry and verse - and their energy onstage is magnetic. Saint Adeline's first EP was produced by Justin Goldner, the band's unofficial fourth member, and will be released this fall.
Lyrical-folk-rock singer/songwriter Kaylyn Marie returns to Joe's Pub after releasing her Debut EP Where I Need last year. The NYC-based troubadour's belief in the power of story-telling cultivates her soul-stirring tunes. Though noted for her vocal prowess, candid lyricism, and innate musical sensibility, it is her ability to perform with absolute authenticity that grabs an audience and refuses to let go.

Tony Award-winning Broadway legend Betty Buckley returns to Joe's Pub with her new show, Story Songs. A renowned interpreter with an eclectic taste for songs from all genres, Buckley will share a collection of songs by Radiohead and theater greats Stephen Schwartz and Jason Robert Brown. The evening will also include works by the next generation of exciting young theater composers Joe Iconis and Ben Toth.
