ANGELS IN AMERICA, written By Tony Kushner will be directed By J.J. Marrs. The production will run August 4-6, 11-13 & 18-20, with performances Thursday-Saturday nights at 7:30pm.

This production features nudity Theatre Downtown proudly presents this Pulitzer Prize winning classic that redefined gay themed theatre for a whole new generation. God has abandoned heaven. Its 1985: the Reagans are in The White House and Death swings the scythe of AIDS. Angels in America follows a group of New Yorkers as they deal with the disease in different ways and come to terms with the illness and themselves. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The cast will feature Peter Gray, Jack Williamson, Will Rainer, Amanda Maddox, Patrick Johnson, Mel Christian, Chris Hicks, Penny Thomas, Bates Redwine and Chuck Evans.

Tickets are $17 for adults ($15 online in advance) and $10 for seniors and students all the time. Opening night is Hobo Night meaning you pay what you can afford with a $7 minimum. This production will be performed at Theatre Downtown @ Fifth Avenue Antiques (2410 5th Avenue South), two blocks from WorkPlay Theatre and across the street from The Quest.
