Cinderella will be presented by Tears of Joy Theatre at Center for Puppetry Arts.

 

Portland-based Tears of Joy Theatre brings to life the classic tale Cinderella as audiences have never seen it before!Travel back to the 18th century with this stylish musical adaptation of the beloved fairytale in which self-confidence and a little magic go a long way to help Cinderella achieve her dreams. 

Forced to be a servant in her own home and endlessly nagged by her stepsisters, Cinderella finds that her biggest obstacle is believing in herself. Fanciful puppets have a ball in this enchanting show that celebrates strength of character and the joy of dancing. Adapted by Mark LaPierre,Cinderella features music by Christopher Guardino, clever lyrics by LaPierre and stunning puppets designed by Mary Robinette Kowall. For more about Tears of Joy Theatre, visit www.tojt.org.

Tickets for patrons two and older are $16.50 and include admission to the performance, Create-A-Puppet Workshop (or Create-A-Puppet To-Go Kit), and all museum exhibits.
