York, PA's Strand-Capitol PAC Kicks Off First Friday Films Series

A new First Friday Late Night Films program, beginning today, January 3, 2014, has been added to the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center Capitol Cinema series. The Capitol Theatre will feature cult favorites on First Fridays starting at 10:00 p.m. for all visitors to enjoy in the historic, downtown location. Tickets are $7.00, and the concessions stand and bar will be open during all films for refreshments and cocktails.

First Friday Late-Night Films:

January 3: The Warriors

February 7: Animal House

March 7: The Big Lebowski

April 5: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

May 2: Pink Floyd: The Wall

"First Fridays are a great way to show our community and its visitors all things fun and local," said Ken Wesler, Strand-Capitol President and CEO. "We polled cult film fans to find their favorites and think this series will be a great way for people to continue their nights in downtown York at the Capitol Theatre.

This First Friday program is in addition to the already occurring Jazz in the City events on First Fridays which welcome musicians from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Studio at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center.
