Multidisciplinary performance group Live Source will be hosting its inaugural Spring Gala honoring Tony Plana, Pregones Theatre, and Kathryn Giaimo on Tuesday, June 17 at the Spanish Benevolent Society in the heart of Chelsea. The evening, hosted in partnership with the Consulate General of Spain in New York / Spain Culture New York, will feature an open bar, appetizers, entertainment by classical Spanish guitarist Neil Quillen, raffle prizes, and a brief awards presentation.

Live Source will present awards to three distinguished honorees. Actor Tony Plana and Pregones Theatre will be honored for their Excellence in the Latino Arts Community, and Kathryn Giaimo will be honored for her Excellence in Arts Advocacy. Mr. Plana is a member of the Live Source Advisory Board and is most recently known for his performances in Ugly Betty, 24, and Resurrection Boulevard. He has also appeared in over 70 films such as JFK, Three Amigos, and Nixon, and has starred on Broadway in Zoot Suit and The Boys of Winter. The Bronx-based Pregones Theatre, led by artistic director Rosalba Rolón, is widely recognized as a leading Latino arts producing and presenting organization, and hosted Live Source earlier this year in a developmental residency of their current work, BOHEMIAN LIGHTS (Luces de Bohemia). Finally, Live Source will honor Kathryn Giaimo, who has been recognized twice with Proclamations from the New York City Council for her advocacy of the arts in New York, and serves as administrative director of Thalia Spanish Theatre in Queens.

Live Source's inaugural Gala will be held at The Spanish Benevolent Society (239 West 14th Street), in the heart of Chelsea. Guests will arrive at 6:30PM, and enjoy an open bar, appetizers, and entertainment. The evening will conclude with an awards presentation for the three honorees.
