In celebration of the 40th anniversary of THE WALTONS, one of television's most iconic shows, a cast reunion is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles.  The creator of the series, Mr. Earl Hamner, Jr., along with the cast and many writers, directors and producers of the show, will be honored by celebrities who were guests on the show, as well as by celebrity friends who starred on other classic television shows.

Join Principal cast members Ralph Waite (John), Jon Walmsley (Jason), Judy Norton (Mary Ellen), Eric Scott (Ben), Mary McDonough (Erin), David Harper (Jim Bob), and Kami Cotler (Elizabeth), as well as creator Earl Hamner, Jr., as they are honored by supporting cast, guest stars, and friends at their 40th anniversary celebration. The evening will benefit the Environmental Charter Middle School in Los Angeles.

Those scheduled to participate and attend include supporting cast members Hal Williams (Harley Foster), Joe Conley and Ronnie Claire Edwards (Ike and Corabeth Godsey). Other guest stars and special guests currently scheduled to appear at the reunion include Jonathan Frakes, Marla Gibbs, Florence Henderson, Bruce Davison, Richard Hatch, Gerald McRaney, Michael O'Keefe, Jonathan Banks, Genie Frances, Keith Coogan, Abby Dalton, Ellen Geer, Lee Purcell, Charlotte Stewart, Leslie Winston, Tony Becker, Martha Nix Wade, Morgan Woodward, Peter Fox, Mariclare Costello, Cissy Wellman, Mayf Nutter, Tom Bower, Stephen Collins, Radames Pera, David Doremus, Scott Hamner, Caroline Hamner, Pippa Scott, Sally Boyden, Ed Lauter, Rachel Longaker, Hersha Parady, David Friedman, Todd Bridges and Paul Petersen. Also, several of the writers, producers and directors who so brilliantly contributed to the stories each week, including Claire Whitaker, Michael McGreevey, Mitch Ackerman, Jeb Rosebrook, Lynn Guthrie, Harvey Laidman, Walt Gilmore, and John Dayton.
