Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Samantha Hill, who is starring as 'Cosette' in Les Miserables- currently playing at the Imperial Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

Wicked. I saw it my during a high school trip to New York. We were a bunch of aspiring performers/theatre nerds so as you can imagine it was a magical trip for many reasons. Our group sat in the very back row of the theatre and I'm pretty sure I cried. Possibly an embarrassing amount. We also saw Avenue Q and Hairspray. It was a solid year for ol' Broadway.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I listen to the sweet preachings of the Scientology Church across the street through the window and wait until the very last moment to get into my costume much to my dressers dismay. Very unique. I also like to eat oreos throughout the whole show. Real good for the voce.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

I've been lucky that I haven't had any 'OMG I was just in a car accident BUT THE SHOW MUST GO ON' moments. Of course I've had my fair share of line drops and fighting through sickness to perform though. One fairly hilarious flub on stage happened while I was Christine in Phantom. During 'All I Ask of You' I'm just about to sing my little
> heart out to Raoul and there was a crash backstage. I completely dried. I started singing the second verse (sort of) but then NOTHING. I think I may have even just hummed the melody at one point like the professional I am. Eventually I got back on track but Kyle and I had a difficult time keeping from laughing for the rest of the scene. Some joker said it sounded like I had a mini stroke. HAHA.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

This is perhaps a bit predictable but I'm going to go with Glinda in Wicked. Oh man and Violet in August:OSAGE COUNTY. And I'd really like to originate a role (duh). Preferably one that makes people laugh.

Who is your Broadway crush?

Laura Benanti. Surely I know enough people in this business that someone can arrange a tea date with that woman.

Where can people stalk you online?

Stalk?! No no. You can follow me "enthusiastically" on Twitter @samjeannehill or check out my website www.samanthahill.ca. (I'm Canadian...)
