Combining Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" with Cole Porter's brilliant music and lyrics, KISS ME, KATE is an irresistible classic that has been delighting audiences for over 60 years, running over 1,000 performances on Broadway and winning Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Score. It's a play-within-a-play where each cast member's onstage life is complicated by what is happening off stage. And that's especially true of the large-than-life stars, Fred Graham and Lilli Vanessi, whose tempestuous romance has more tumbles and turnabouts than even Shakespeare could have foreseen. Packed with enduring hit songs like "Another Op'nin', Another Show"; "So in Love"; "Too Darn Hot"; "Wunderbar"; and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare," KISS ME, KATE is funny, melodious, and sophisticated musical comedy entertainment.

KISS ME, KATE is on stage at the Saratoga Civic Theatre located at 13777 Fruitvale Avenue in Saratoga, September 27 to October 18, 2014. Performance times are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20 - $35. Opening Night $39 (champagne reception). To order tickets by phone, call 408-266-4734.
