The Humbling, starring Tony winner Billy Porter, is a 2014 erotic comedy film directed by Barry Levinson and written by Buck Henry and Michal Zebede, based on the 2009 novel, The Humbling, written by Philip Roth. The film also stars Al Pacino, Greta Gerwig, Dianne Wiest, Charles Grodin and Mandy Patinkin. It will be released in theatres on January 23, 2015. Below, check out a sneak peek of Porter in action!

Porter is a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University College of Fine Arts with a B.F.A in Drama. He also holds a certification from The Professional Program in Screenwriting at UCLA. Porter has starred in Kinky Boots (2013 Tony Award, Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle Award Winner), Miss Saigon, Five Guys..., Grease, Smokey Joe's..., Dreamgirls. Porter's solo musical career includes two studio albums, Billy Porter released by A&M Records in 1997 and At the Corner of Broadway + Soul in 2005 which was released by Sh-K-Boom Records. He was also featured in a number of songs in the tribute album It's Only Life: The Songs of John Bucchino which was released in 2006 on PS Classics and in Adam Guettel's album Myths and Hymns on Nonesuch Records.
