Same Time, Next Year is a romantic comedy written by Bernard Slade that premiered in 1975 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The plot revolves around a man and woman, George and Doris (respectively), who meet together once a year for a rendezvous over the course of 24 years despite being married to other people. Over the span of 24 years, George and Doris, who have six children between them, develop a much deeper level of intimacy for one another, despite only meeting once a year for a clandestine weekend. They discuss births, deaths, and marital woes amidst the ever-changing social climate that plagues their existence over the course of a span of two decades.

Irina Maleeva (The Merchant of Venice) is set to recur on the show, along with Christopher Stanley (Mad Men), W Earl Brown (The Book of Boba Fett), and Josh Pais (The Dropout), while James Remar (Yellowstone), Paul Ben-Victor (Pam & Tommy) and Hilda Boulware (Modern Family) are set for guest-starring roles.

The Coolidge Corner Theatre ('the Coolidge') has announced the winter/spring 2023 its weekly Kids' Shows. Sure to delight all ages, the new season launches on Sunday, January 1 at 10:30am with a screening of the beloved stop-motion classic Shaun the Sheep.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced two evenings of side-splitting stand-up comedy on Saturday, September 17, and Saturday, September 24, at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. Saturday Night Live paid a tribute last night to Charles Grodin, beloved actor who died earlier this week. A photo flashed on screen during the show's 46th season finale.

He also directed the 1968 Broadway production of 'Lovers and Other Strangers' and directed and produced the 1974 production of 'Thieves' and the 1977 production of 'Unexpected Guests.'

Bernard Slade, (born Bernard Slade Newbound), the Canadian/American writer best known for his Broadway play SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR  and the TV series THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY, has died.  He passed away peacefully at home early this morning (October 30) in Beverly Hills from complications of Lewy Body Dementia. He was 89.
