Stop the Presses! From their home at the Nederlander Theater, the cast of Newsies performed 'King of New York' during yesterday's Macy's Parade CBS broadcast. For the first time ever, television audiences had the opportunity to see a number performed on the stage of the Nederlander, where Newsies plays to sold-out crowds. Watch the cast in action below!

America’s favorite holiday tradition, the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, returned to dazzle and enchant millions nationwide yesterday, November 22. The festivities were featured both on NBC and CBS, each providing performances from different Broadway companies.

Newsies features a score with music by eight-time Academy Award® winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by four-time Tony® Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, Newsies is directed by Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

The Broadway company of Newsies also features Corey Cott as Jack Kelly, Ron Raines as Joseph Pulitzer, Kara Lindsay as Katherine Plumber, LaVon Fisher-Wilson as Medda Larkin, Ben Fankhauser as Davey, Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Crutchie, and Nicholas Lampiasi, and Jake Lucas alternating the role of Les.
