RIALTO CHATTER: Rosie to Film New OWN Show at New World Stages?

According to Rosie Radio, in a recent interview with Avenue Q and Imaginocean's John Targaglia, Rosie O'Donnell may be filming her new talk show, which will premiere on Oprah's OWN, from Off-Broadway's New World Stages.

As BroadwayWorld previously revealed, O'Donnell will be the host of a daytime hour-long television talk show that will premiere on Oprah's OWN Network beginning in September of 2011. Rosie tells Tartaglia that one possible site for the show is New World Stages. 

Current shows playing at New World Stages incude: Naked Boys Singing, Imaginocean, Avenue Q, Gazillion Bubble Show, Freckleface Strawberry,  The 39 Steps, and Devil Boys From Beyond.

NEW WORLD STAGES is constructed on (and under) the site of the former Madison Square Garden, the newly renovated underground facility is centered on a large common lobby and public art gallery, serviced by two bars, a coat check, generous bathroom facilities and a separate public lounge. Five distinct stages ranging in size from 199 to 499 seats convenient to Hotels, restaurants, transportation and parking.

Rosie Radio airs Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm ET on SIRIUS XM Stars, SIRIUS channel 102/XM channel 155, with daily replays at 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm ET. Rosie Radio is available 24/7 online on SIRIUS Internet Radio channel 815/XM Radio Online channel 94. Rosie Radio's "Best of the Week" airs at various times on the weekend.  

Rosie explores any topic, issue, or event on her mind and welcomes a variety of guests driven by her numerous passions, interests, and hobbies for two hours daily on Rosie Radio. Show regulars include Rosie's lifelong friend Jeanne Kopetic, who stops by to hang out and reminisce about growing up in the '80s, high school life and the music they love. Janette Barber, Rosie's longtime friend, producer and fellow comedienne, is by her side in the show's ensemble and is also the show's executive producer. Rosie's former assistant and Taboo costume designer Bobby Pearce is also a regular, chiming in about everything from weight loss to Broadway. "Google Pete" Mele, Rosie's all around computer expert, joins in every day. Senior Producer Deirdre Dod books the show and is also part of the ensemble.
