Peter Lerman, a 2010 Jonathan Larson Award-winner, will present his New York Debut concert at the Laurie Beechman Theater on Monday, November 1st, at 9:30pm. The evening of original music will feature performances by "Spring Awakening's" Christy Altomare and TONY Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon. The evening will be directed by Laura Pietropinto.

Peter Lerman is a musical playwright who recently performed solo concerts of his work at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and Signature Theatre. He recently presented his musical "The Virginia" at the Disney/ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop. In addition to music and lyrics for theater, Peter writes for film and television. Most recently, he contributed music to the first season of "Modern Family" on ABC. Peter is a graduate of Columbia University where he wrote the Columbia Varsity Show. He is the winner of a 2010 Jonathan Larson Award, the Kennedy Center ACTF Musical Theater Award, and a 2010-11 Dramatists Guild fellowship.

Dixon, who received critical praise for his leading role in The Scottsboro Boys Off-Broadway, will take the lead as Ray Charles in Broadway's upcoming Unchain My Heart: The Ray Charles Musical. Altomare starred as Wendla in the Spring Awakening 1st National Tour.
