Irish comedy sensation Ardal O'Hanlon, star of Channel 4's hit Britcom "Father Ted," returns to NY
for a two-night engagement at the Irish Arts Center as part of MARCH
MADNESS, a month-long celebration of Irish arts and culture. Ardal
O'Hanlon LIVE performs on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 at 8
PM.

Performances take place at the Donaghy Theatre at the Irish Arts
Center (553 West 51st Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues).

Tickets are $35 ($25 for Irish Arts Center Members) and are available by
calling SmartTix at (212) 868-4444 or www.smarttix.com.

Ardal O'Hanlon is best known as the dim-witted Father Dougal McGuire
in the hit TV series "Father Ted," a role which earned him five
British Comedy Award nominations, one BAFTA nomination, and the ‘Top
Television Comedy Newcomer' award at the 1995 British Comedy Awards.

A previous winner of no less than three ‘Best Comedian' awards,
O'Hanlon is coming off another sold-out tour of the U.K. where he
performed over 30 live shows in two months. He has toured England,
Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and Italy, and has twice
appeared at the prestigious "Just for Laughs" Festival in Montreal.

"Ardal O'Hanlon appearing as ‘himself' will be a revelation. If you've
only seen him in his television role as wide-eyed eejit ‘Father
Dougal' don't miss his stand up performance. Watch him turn innocence
into a deadly comic weapon" - THE SUNDAY TIMES

In addition to "Father Ted", O'Hanlon wrote and presented "Leagues
Apart" for RTE Television and had starring roles in the BBC series
"Blessed", the ITV drama-comedy "Big Bad World", and the BBC comedy
"My Hero". He also taped a half-hour stand up special for Comedy
Central, "Comedy Central Presents: Ardal O'Hanlon."

Ardal O'Hanlon LIVE is part of MARCH MADNESS at the Irish Arts Center,
a month-long celebration of Irish arts and culture in honor of St.
Patrick's Day. Other MARCH MADNESS events include a one-week
engagement of Donal O'Kelly's THE CAMBRIA, the Center's annual free
Open Day on March 15, the special literary event The McCourt Memoirs,
a screening of Paddy Hayes' Ceolchuairt and the launch of the gallery
exhibition A Different Land: Irish Bogland Interpretations, featuring
the work of artists from County Kerry, Ireland. ###
