Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond:

VIVIAN REED, March 31 at 7PM:

BACK BY OVERWHELMING DEMAND! After packing 54 to the rafters in November, multi-award-winning singer, actress & dancer Vivian Reed presents her passionate and powerful vocal stylings in unique arrangements of an eclectic lineup of R&B, jazz, gospel and musical theater songs. Through selections from her critically acclaimed Broadway performance in Bubbling Brown Sugar, as well as from Three Mo' Divas, her concerts and international nightclub appearances, the two-time Tony Award nominee - who is the recipient of a Drama Desk Award, a Theatre World Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award, among others - pays tribute to the people who have had a profound effect on her career. Back by popular demand! Jarrod Spector, who is starring in the new Broadway hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, returns to 54 Below to celebrate his brand new album "A Little Help From My Friends: Live at 54 BELOW"! This acclaimed musical outing traces the legacy of the great male singers whose vocal prowess made them the rock stars of their generations, even before rock was born. After starring as Frankie Valli for six years in Broadway's smash hit musical Jersey Boys, Jarrod wraps his critically-praised voice around the songs that have made superstars out of more than a century of tenor legends from Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson to the great Enrico Caruso himself. In anticipation of Broadway Records' official release of the album on March 25th, CDs will be available for purchase at all four performances with a chance to have copies autographed. #LOOKING is about the crazy, exciting, IBS-inducing world of being gay in your twenties, looking for love in New York City. Drawing from artists as varied as Betty Who, Cole Porter, and (duh) Taylor Swift, Zi Alikhan weaves together first loves, first subway tears, and first Tinder dates in a night that sets out to explore the shitstorm of a path that is #LOOKING for something more in NYC. ANITA GILLETTE & PENNY FULLER IN SIN TWISTER, April 1 at 7PM:

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Two beloved, Tony-nominated Broadway actresses join forces for a delectable evening of humorous reflection and harmonious song in Sin Twisters, a show with a devilish spoonerism of a title. On the streets of Manhattan and Los Angeles, these vibrant and savvy veterans of over two dozen Broadway productions, as well as countless films and television shows, are constantly being mistaken for each other, although one is at least three inches taller, and one is a blonde and the other, a redhead. Yet, during their respective careers, they have both tackled some of the same parts, including the plum role of Sally Bowles in the original Broadway production of Cabaret. Listen as Mr. Lazar weaves in stories from his youth, his family, and his friendships with Broadway legends like Elaine Stritch and Angela Lansbury. Aaron Lazar's numerous Broadway credits include A Little Night Music, The Light in the Piazza, Les Miserables, Oklahoma, and The Phantom of the Opera. Mandy Gonzalez, star of Broadway's Wicked, In the Heights, Lennon and more, invites you to join her for an unforgettable evening of great music and hilarity, all revolving around love and its crazy themes and variations. Broadway artists, recording artists, fashion models and more come together for Puppy Love at 54 Below. All proceeds are being donated to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-after all, we are their voice. KANDER & EBB'S THE ACT, April 3 at 7PM & 9:30PM, April 4 at 8PM & 11PM:

A concert version celebrating the score of John Kander & Fred Ebb's "The Act" returns to NYC. The songs of the show-which originally played Broadway in 1977 with Liza Minnelli as the lead-take place in a nightclub, so it's only fitting this one-night-only event will take place in the swankiest nightclub in town! The cast includes Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, Emmy Award nominee Anna Chlumsky, Tony Award winner Randy Graff, Julia Murney, Karen Mason, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Stacie Bono, Rachelle Rak (Excluding 4-4 at 11pm), Mamie Parris, Carole J. Bufford, with Elizabeth Ann Berg, Jennifer Malenke, and Will Porter. LYRICLION, April 3 at 11:30PM:

LyricLion is an ensemble of seven top musicians currently studying at Columbia and Juilliard. The group accompanies singer-songwriters in new arrangements of their songs with the unique instrumentation of flute, bassoon, french horn and strings. They have been praised for their "astute musical taste" and their blend of classical and pop has been described as a "truly inspiring result" (Huffington Post). Featuring performances and songs by Sarah Dooley, Sally Eidman, Olivia Harris, Kailey Marshall, Katy Rea, Taylor Simone, David Alan Thorton, Niko Tsakalatos and Zack Zadek. DEATH AT THE DEVEREUX, April 5 at 7PM:

Death at The Devereux, written and directed by Charlotte Yakovleff and performed by The Devereux Theater Players, is an original murder mystery musical comedy set back in the 1920's. Guests have been invited to the grand re-opening of Bobby Lyle's speakeasy, The Devereux. With Bobby's obsession over his biggest competitor and nemesis, Johnny Bostello owner of The Brigadoon, the stage is set for murder and confusion. As the play begins someone, oddly enough, dies. (Who would have thought someone would die in a murder mystery) Throughout the evening guests (the audience) will wonder who-dun-it, while each cast member tries to avoid getting thrown to the coppers, and tries to figure out if Bobby Lyle's on the level or if he's the fall guy and will be left holding the bag. So put your glad rags on, and get a wiggle on down to The Devereux, where you can join us for some giggle juice and a have jazzy good time! The musical play will feature original Off-Broadway cast members Matt Brooks, Lynne Strang, Phil Williams, Ara Casey, Terri Grimes-Marin, Charles Hoffman, Teri Pierce, Jim Boykin, Stephanie Lawrence, Helen Rusnak, Jolanda Janczewski, Teri Meyer, Daniel Serpati, Matt Robinson, Dianne Janczewski, Marie Koneczny, and Charlotte Yakovleff. MARCUS PAUL JAMES, April 5 at 11PM:

Broadway actor, singer and songwriter Marcus Paul James brings a night of R&B to the 54 Below stage in his show Love and Soul. With Brian Whitted leading the band, Marcus turns the stage into a soulfest with a mix of Broadway, covers and original tunes - out to prove that the modern-day balladeers and crooners are still alive and well. Marcus was last seen in the off-Broadway revival of Rent, where he reprised his role of Mr. Jefferson and "Seasons of Love" soloist. Before that, he was a part of the Broadway closing casts of the Tony Award-winning shows In the Heights and Rent, as well the movie Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway. Marcus has released two albums of his own music, as well as been featured on multiple up-and-coming composer albums, including Scott Alan and Bobby Cronin. "Marcus' music is able to break the barrier and rise to the top of the music heap. Upon listening to Marcus sing, you'll notice that he's a bit fresh and old-school at the same time. Having recently toured the U.S., Canada, Europe and Israel performing with her sister, Barbra Streisand, and nephew, Jason Gould, this brand new show features both new material & vintage "Rozzie" tunes. Back in the heyday of nightclubs in New York, Roslyn Kind played 'em all.
