Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre in downtown Gettysburg, located inside the old Elks Lodge at 49 York Street, will present two very different musicals this spring featuring children and adults of all ages.

March 20-29 GCT will present the musical Children Of Eden. Based on the book of Genesis, this contemporary musical written by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) and John Caird (LesMiserables), follows the story of the Creator, Adam and Eve and ends with Noah and all the animals from the Ark. Directed by GCT's Founding Executive/Artistic Director Chad-Alan Carr, this cast includes Mathew Barninger from Hanover playing "The Father", Ryan Gallagher from Gettysburg College playing Adam, Amber Zambrana from Duncannon playing Eve, David Brian Nickol from Spring Grove playing Cain, Billy Emig from Dover playing Abel, Kamerin Thomas from Gettysburg College playing Noah, Kate Moyer from Gettysburg playing Mama Noah, and Alessandra DeMartino from Gettysburg College playing Yonah. The ensemble includes April Howard from Littlestown, William Leaman from Fairfield, Michael Connelly, Lexi Barrick, Jordyn Keefauver, Tori Keefauver, Brenna Yingling, and Alyssa Meyers from Hanover, Becca Willett, Julie Strickland, Madison Melton and Katie Pellegrino from Gettysburg, Blaine Paris and Noelle Totis from New Oxford, Alayna and Cole Smith from Abbottstown, Maida Higgs and Aidan Baker-Miller from Ortanna. The production is being music directed by Jillian Brenaman from Gardners, choreographed by Lexi Barrick from Hanover, stage managed by Robyn Colossa from Gettysburg, with lighting designed by Jonathan Carbaugh from Hanover. April 17-25 GCT will present an all-youth cast of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic The Sound Of Music. Directed by Buff Wills from Gettysburg with music direction and choreography by Kate Moyer from Gettysburg, the cast includes students ages 4-14 in every role plus the ensemble. The cast includes: Jordyn Keefauver from Hanover as Maria, Brandon Gladfelter from Gettysburg as Captain Von Trapp, Harrison Crow from Gettysburg as Max, Tori Keefauver from Hanover as Mother Superior, Brenna Yingling from Hanover as Sister Margarhetta, Julianna Hazlett from Gettysburg as Sister Sophia, Alyssa Meyers from Hanover as Sister Berthe, Kylie Biesecker from Gettysburg as Frau Schmidt, Liliana Hoedemaker from Gardners as Liesl, Cole Smith from Abbottstown as Friedrich, Rebekah Reaver from Gettysburg as Louisa, Max Carlson from Gettysburg as Kurt, Alayna Smith from Abbottstown as Brigitta, Savanna Schneider from Gettysburg as Marta, Lucy Heaton from Gettysburg as Gretl, Linden Amster from Gettysburg as Rolf, Aidan Baker-Miller from Ortanna as Her Zeller, Keira Lee from Littlestown as Baroness Elberfeld, Tad Scace from Biglerville as Admiral von Schreiber, along with ensemble members: Ellen Cadigan, Eliza Dreves, Giada Langville, Abigail Carter, Izabella Cosden, Reia Hogan, Anna Sophia Kahn, Maya Moore, Molly Heaton, and Chelsea Zimmann from Gettysburg, Halle Minck from York Springs, Olivia Foglesong from Littlestown, Kalia Hoedemaker from Gardners, and Madison Prin from Hanover.
