Scott Allan has announced that this year will be the eighth and final season of 'Monday Nights, New Voices.' For the final season, Allan will celebrate some of today's brightest unheard talent and today's most exciting composers and lyricists as well as welcoming back some of the most successful alumni to host the final year of the series.

The premiere of the eight season will take place on January 31st, 2011 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

Hosting will be South Pacific's Marla Mindelle. Mindelle is an alumni of the series - appearing in the October 23rd, 2006 New Voices concert.

The concert celebrates the work of up-and-coming composer, Will Van Dyke. The composer will accompany each performer on selections from his songbook and offer stories about his songs. Paul Staroba is the evening's musical director.

Performers include Jason Gotay, Jonathan Shew, Chase Todd, Raena White and Nicole Weiss. Show time is 7 PM.

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street. There is a $12 music charge and a two-drink minimum; for reservations call (212) 255-5438 or visit theduplex.com.
