The Denver Independent Comic & Art Expo (DINK) and the famed cinema franchise, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Denver have teamed up to bring Denver a rare pre-screening of the critically acclaimed 'My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea' before it hits the theaters in late April. Set to take place at the Alamo Drafthouse in Littleton, the pre-screening will serve as the kick-off party for DINK on April 7th and will include a Q&A with artist and creator, Dash Shaw.

Featuring a star-studded cast, the film includes voice overs with Jason Schwartzman, Lena Dunham, Reggie Watts, Maya Rudolph, and Susan Sarandon -- topped off with the quirky art and animation that is undeniably Dash Shaw -- there is no wonder why the artist has quickly become the darling of indie comics and art alike.

Hailed "the most original animated film of the year" the film has been penned as "inventive," "beautiful," and "more than a little bizarre" by critics nationwide. Fans will have an opportunity to meet with Dash and score special edition print poster, which fans can get signed the following day at DINK in downtown Denver.

More than just a comic show, DINK provides an outlet for a talented cast of independent artists, creators, urban and tattoo artists, zine creators and graphic novelists to showcase their work for two days in the Mile High City from April 8-9. A multicultural show the annual event features talent as far-reaching as Mexico, Brazil, England, and Canada each representing the counter-culture and the independent spirit of art in its many languages and styles.

Loaded with late night programming, a bar, and two complete days of activities, DINK prides itself in providing a vessel for fans to converse and imbibe with the art creators in a unique, intimate environment. Additional DINK programming includes adult coloring, art auctions, hands-on workshops, comedy shows and the Mountain-West's first Comic and Art Awards ceremony 'The DINKy's' scheduled to take place April 8th.

A rare treat for lovers of independent films and animation alike, the pre-screening of 'My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea' will include a complimentary special edition print and live Q & A with Dash Shaw. A limited quantity of tickets will be available to current DINK ticket holders, followed by a consecutive release of the remaining tickets going to DINK mailing list members and Alamo Victory members.
