"Art Gallery Tours New York" announces a Chelsea art gallery walking tour. The tour will take place on Saturday, June 26 at 1:00 PM. The tour starts at 526 W. 26th St. (10th & 11th Ave.), West Chelsea Arts Building. The tour will cost $20 a person.

The tour will visit 7 contemporary art galleries in the world's center for contemporary art, showing that week's most fascinating exhibits of painting, sculpture, electronic media, and photography. The tour will be led by Rafael Risemberg, Ph.D.

New York City is the world's center for contemporary art, with over 600 galleries. 'Art Gallery Tours New York' gives daytime tours showing off the most extraordinary cutting-edge art exhibits, and evening tours that visit festive gallery openings that have the best advance buzz.

The most frequent tours take place in Chelsea, with its 300 galleries, plus special tours are offered in Soho, Lower East Side, Upper East Side, and Midtown. For each tour, the most fascinating and varied exhibits are selected displaying the newest in painting, sculpture, electronic media and photography, by American and International Artists. At each stop, the director helps explain the artwork and leads the group in discussion.

The tours take place no matter what the temperature or weather, rain or shine, since the tours are indoors over 90% of the time. Exhibits change frequently, so month to month completely different tours are offered.
