A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues a newly cherished family holiday tradition by presenting its production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. This time-honored tale of forgiveness opens on Friday, December 5 and closes on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. This is the third consecutive year that ANW has presented the timeless holiday classic.

Producing Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott (who adapted the play from the novella) and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott co-direct Dickens' masterpiece about the redemptive and transformative power of love. In this production, hailed for its "enchantment" by LA Weekly, Dickens' poignant tale is matched by evocative original music by composer Ego Plum.

The cast features Geoff Elliott*(Scrooge), Freddy Douglas* (Narrator), Stephen Rockwell*(Mr. Cratchit/Ensemble), Rafael Goldstein* (Fred/Young Scrooge/Ensemble), Jill Hill* (Mrs. Cratchit/Ensemble), Mitchell Edmonds* (Marley/Old Joe/Ensemble), Deborah Strang* (Ghost of Christmas' Past/Charwoman/Ensemble), Alan Blumenfeld* (Ghost of Christmas Present/Benevolent Gentleman/Ensemble), Alison Elliott (Belle/Laundress/Ensemble), ------ (Martha Cratchit/Ensemble), ---- (Peter Cratchit/Ensemble), Georgia Miller (Belinda Cratchit/Ensemble), Jack Elliott (Cratchit Twin/Turkey Boy/Ensemble), Marie Sullivan (Cratchit Twin/Ensemble). *denotes member of Actors' Equity

"Remounting our acclaimed presentation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol allows families to once again take a supremely theatrical journey, and celebrate the transformative power of forgiveness during the holidays," says Elliott. Rodriguez-Elliott adds, "Ebenezer Scrooge's rebirth from miserly curmudgeon to the epitome of love and generosity affirms our faith in the potent goodness of human kind during this beloved time of year."

A Noise Within's 2014-15 Season continues with The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill (February 15 - May 9), the West Coast premiere of Figaro by Charles Morey, freely adapted from Le Mariage de Figaro by Beaumarchais (March 1-May 10), and concludes with Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare (March 22 - May 8). The Threepenny Opera and Julius Caesar together form the basis of REVOLUTIONRep, three spring dates wherein both of these productions are presented on the same stage, sequentially.

A Christmas Carol is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission, and the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division. The 2014/15 Season Sponsor is the Wells Fargo Foundation and Media Sponsors are Pasadena Weekly and KPCC 89.3 FM.
